Hello Minna-san, have you watched the Anime film entitled I Want to Eat Your Pancreas or it could be called Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai? From the title, you would think that this anime film is in the Gore genre, right? But actually it’s not like that, this anime is a really romantic drama in my opinion.

I Want to Eat Your Pancreas Becomes Favorite Show in Japan

Movie I Want to Eat Your Pancreas this was released in Japan on September 1, 2021. And you can also watch this movie in cinemas in Indonesia.

Based on the novel entitled Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai belongings Yoru Sumino. The live action version of this movie has aired a year earlier in Japan with the title Let Me Eat Your Pancreas and become one of the favorite shows in the event Japan Cinema Week 2021.

The film starts with an unnamed boy being bullied by a girl in their school library. The girl was fascinated by the Japanese custom of eating body parts of loved ones to cure diseases that affect the body, for example Pancreas.

Protagonist in this film is an unnamed man who is a loner and chooses to withdraw from social life, and according to him it is the best choice for him. He spends his time working in the school library because he believes books are better than people.

It didn’t take long to realize that he was not as tired as he thought he was, and that he was just a man fighting against himself and against his self-professed beliefs.

One day, he happens to find a diary in the hospital and it turns out that the diary belongs to his classmate, whose name is Yamauchi Sakura a girl from her school.
