X-Men spin-off, The New Mutants Starts with a Trilogy

director Josh Boone has provided an explanation of what to expect from The New Mutants. As well as revealing that the X-Men spinoff will start with a trilogy, the filmmaker told Creative Screenwriting that he had set a villain in mind to antagonize the group of young mutants in the first film.

“After I made ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, we made Fox a comic book,” said Boone. “This is their journey through the New Mutant film trilogy that will build one another. We used a program called Comic life, and took all the pictures we liked from the series and put them together to show them the film we wanted to make.

“We took him to producer Simon Kinberg and he really liked it,” continued the 37-year-old director. “We’ve been working on it for the last year and a half to get it ready, and I’m going to scout locations and we have a release date now.”

Good Fox as well as Marvel has not provided any confirmation regarding the report. As of now, the release date from The New Mutants Not yet announced. Some news of the cast members appeared, Nat Wolff, Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor-Joy will have roles as Cannonball, Wolfsbane and Magik.
