Russo reveals the meeting between Captain America and Red Skull in Vormir

The Avengers team managed to restore the missing half of the population and defeat Thanos at the end of Avengers: Endgame. After that, Captain America had to go back in time to return the Infinity Stone to where it belongs.

Although his journey to restore the Infinity Stones is not shown, we do know that he will meet his old enemy Red Skull in Vormir to restore the Soul Stone.

But have you ever imagined how that meeting will take place? Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have an answer to that question.

During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, Anthony answered a question about the meeting by saying, “That is probably more awkward than we can imagine. Red Skull will reprimand because Captain America may not recognize him anymore. “

Red Skull Actor Changing

The joke seems to refer to a change in the actor who played Red Skull. Hugo Weaving initially played the character in Captain America: The First Avenger. However, the actor did not return for Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame despite being asked by Marvel.

In the end he was replaced by actor Ross Marquand for two cameo appearances as the former HYDRA leader guarding the Soul Stone.
