Review Later We Tell About Today (NKCTHI)
Later We Tell About Today is the latest Indonesian film directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. This film stars a number of famous Indonesian actors and actresses such as Rio Dewanto, Oka Antara, Sheila Dara Aisha, Rachel Amanda, Donny Damara, Susan Bachtiar and many more.
This time Dafunda will give a review, because in my personal opinion NKCTHI is a very good film and there are many lessons about life that can be taken from this film. In addition, we must also be proud and support Indonesian films so that they can be even better in the future.

Music
Now, because I personally like songs that smell like ‘Indie’, let’s start this review by discussing music.
All the music and songs in the NKCTHI film seem to say to let go and learn to rise from whatever problems are happening. The soundtrack of this film begins with Mas Kunto Aji’s song entitled Rehat.
The atmosphere and the songs really illustrate how the characters feel at that time. For example, when Awan and Aurora got into big trouble and the song Indies-Sufficiently accompanied them both. Even Ardhito Pramono also sang two of his songs in this film.
So Basically, all the songs in this film are very enjoyable for me and also those of you who like Indie songs. If the music is personally rated as well, I will no doubt give it a 10/10.
Storyline
Every family certainly has its own secrets. This story focuses from 3 different points of view, each from Angkasa as the eldest child, Aurora as the middle child and Cloud as the youngest child.
The three of them are siblings who live in a family that looks happy. However, it turned out that this family had trauma that the children did not know about.
The interesting thing about this story line is the mix between Flash back good past and present and not confusing. All films of course have to explain everything that happened with a certain character or event, so that it doesn’t happen later plot hole.
Every Family Member Has His Own Life Problems
This film successfully tells every problem and trauma of the characters very well and looks real. Angkasa as the eldest son illustrates how big a responsibility it is to look after his younger siblings and family.
Then there is Aurora who is the middle / second child. Here we are shown the sadness of the second child, who in the quotation marks ‘lacks’ the love of his parents. Not less, but more towards not as much love and attention as the youngest child gets.
And the last one is Cloud as the youngest child. As we generally know, the youngest child must be spoiled by his parents. And that’s what happened with Cloud. His father always told Angkasa to pick up Awan every time he came home from work and always helped with all of Cloud’s work in the office. This makes Cloud feel ‘free’ and unable to fight on his own terms.
What is the problem between mother and father? You better watch it so you know how the story goes.
Unpredictable Twist Plot
Honestly when I first watched it, I thought this story would focus on Aurora who is the second child. I thought the biggest problem would be with him, eh it wasn’t.
After experiencing his first major failure, Awan meets Kale (Ardhito Pramono), a man who gives Awan a new life experience. Kale teaches Cloud the meaning of breaking up, rising, falling, growing, getting lost and all human fears in general.
Awan’s change in attitude, who was always under pressure from his parents (especially his father), sparked a big fight between the 3 siblings. It all ended with the unraveling of the great trauma that had run in their family.
For fear of being too long and will give spoilers, maybe that’s a review from me about the film Later We Tell The Story About Today.
Real Story In The Life Of A Family
Later We Stories About Today presents the true story of a family’s life with all its strengths and weaknesses. This film seems to be a slap for those of us who watch to reflect on each other’s lives.
Especially about families, which sometimes have their own way of showing affection for children and other family members.
Conclusion
