Is Matt Reeves' Batman Really First Robin Debut?

As many reports continue confirmed that Robert Pattinson will be Batman in a Matt Reeves directed film. New reports suggest Robin may appear in the film.

A source told Forbes a few months ago about who might be in the film. Among those who could potentially emerge were Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Alfred and Commissioner Gordon.

However, the article also reveals Robin may also play a role in Reeves’s upcoming film. Since there has been no official confirmation from Warner Bros., this is still a rumor.

Who is Robin who will appear?

If Robin does have a role in this film, it is still unknown which version of Robin will appear. However, the DC Extended Universe has made references to Robin’s death in previous films.

Batman V Superman director Zack Snyder performed a Robin costume with the words “HAHAHA Joke’s on you Batman” on the Batcave. Warner Bros. later confirmed that the costume belonged to Jason Todd.

This certainly evokes the DC 1988 comic storyline “A Death in the Family,” in which the second Robin of Batman is killed by The Joker.

In 2021, Reeves made it clear that The Batman, which he directed, would not adapt the story. However, the script has undergone a number of rewrites, so maybe things have changed.

Warner Bros. wanted Pattinson to play Batman in three films. Robin may not appear in the first film in the trilogy, he may appear in the next film.
