Paramount Announces New Release Date For Scream 5
Scream, one of the popular horror franchises, is getting the latest film. His latest film, Scream 5, has a release schedule in 2022. This film was originally due to be released in 2021, but had to be delayed due to uncertainty related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Apart from the pandemic, the reason for delaying Scream 5 is also a good step. If released in 2021, Scream 5 will compete with big films like Matt Reeves’ The Batman and Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Delay Scream 5 Is the Best Way
The delay in the release of Scream 5 also gave the studio time to confirm actor casting and production announcements. Although there has been no official announcement yet, Courtney Cox and David Arquette will reprise their original roles in the upcoming film Scream 5.
Neve Campbell has also expressed interest in playing Sidney Prescott again in the film. And this film will be directed by the director Ready or Not, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
Paramount has announced that Scream 5 is ready for release on January 14, 2022. This announcement was released as an act of changing the calendar schedule of the film Paramount. One of Paramount’s most awaited films, Snake Eyes was also postponed a full year to 2021.
There is only one Paramount film released in 2021
With the change in release schedule, Paramount now only has one film ready to release for 2021, namely Coming 2 America. The film will be released on 18 December.
Meanwhile, Paramount films such as Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, Top Gun: Maverick, and A Quiet Place Part II were postponed until at least 2021. Of course the main reason is because of concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic.
Given the lingering uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, it is very difficult to say whether 2021 viewers will return to theaters in the same numbers as they were before the pandemic.
