Huawei Releases the Latest Smartphones P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Plus

As previously announced, Huawei has now officially released its latest flagship smartphone through an online launch event. The live streaming was held on the Huawei Mobile YouTube channel, Thursday, 3/26/2020 noon European time.

There are three devices that Huawei will produce as fillers for the P series portfolio this year, the P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Plus.

At first glance, the latest smartphones from Huawei such as the P40 Pro and P40 Pro Plus are different from their predecessors. The reason is that the four frames on each side have curves (curved), so that they only appear curved on the two sides (left and right). As found on the P30 Pro smartphone.

The four sides of the ‘regular’ version of the P40 screen have no curves, but the frame size is still thinner than some flagship smartphones in general.

Even though they have different screen sizes, all three of them still use a capsule-shaped punch hole design where the 32MP main camera is located. It features a 3D ToF (infrared) camera and ambient and proximity sensors.

Still on the camera side, Huawei is now working with the German lens manufacturer Leica to provide the best photographic performance for the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro Plus.

The three phones both use the Kirin 990 SoC chip / processor with the largest 1 / 1.28-inch 50MP RYYB main camera sensor for smartphones. However, the number of rear cameras and the configuration of the three Huawei smartphones are different.
