The Medium, a Psychological Horror Game With a Touch of Silent Hill Composer
Through the Summer Game Fest, Microsoft recently revealed the lineup of games that will be available for the Xbox Series X console in a special edition of Inside Xbox. The hour-long exhibition features key trailers from several Microsoft partner studios.
Some of the games on display will be released in the 2021 holiday season which coincides with the release of the Xbox Series X. While the rest will only be available early next year.
Aaron Greenberg, Xbox Marketing Manager, kicked off this Microsoft Xbox Series X event by introducing the Xbox partner studio lineup and revealing all the latest game titles.
Apart from revealing the title of the new game, Microsoft also announced its Smart Delivery feature. Where Xbox users only need to buy a game once and can enjoy it on various Xbox platforms.
A Captivating Horror Game
Although many fans were disappointed because the Inside Xbox event presented by Microsoft did not offer gameplay. However, several game titles that were introduced managed to attract the attention of fans, one of which was The Medium
The Medium is a new generation psychological horror game developed by Bloober Team. This horror game studio is a studio that has made games like Blair Wich, Observer, and Layers of Fear. The Medium features the soundtrack “Dual” by Akira Yamaoka and Arkadiusz Reikowski.
Delivers 4K And Ray-tracing Features
Even though they have managed to release some outstanding horror games such as The Blair Witch, Observer, and Layers of Fear, Bloober Team believes that The Medium will be their best game.
The reason is, The Medium will use the 4K visual and ray-tracing features which will certainly further enhance the game’s graphics. In addition, The Medium is also claimed to have no loading screen.
In the process of making the game, one of the legendary figures in the horror game world, Akira Yamaoka, was involved. Akira Yamaoka himself is the author of the famous horror game, Silent Hill.
Apart from The Medium, Bloober Team will also present another horror game, Observer. The game will of course come with improved graphics and new content. Judging from the steps that have been taken, it seems that the horror game studio Bloober Team is really ready to welcome the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
