Jake Gyllenhaal and Denis Villeneuve Working on New Film
Jake Gyllenhaal said that he is currently working on a new film project with director Denis Villeneuve. For those of you who don’t know, Denis Villeneuve has also previously worked with Jake Gyllenhaal. They worked together on a 2013 thriller film entitled Prisoners and Enemy.
In the film Prisoners, Gyllenhaal plays a detective whose job is to investigate child kidnapping cases. Meanwhile in the film Enemy which is a neo-noir psychological thriller genre film. Those of you who have watched it will surely be surprised when Gyllenhaal’s character finds his doppelgänger (another twin).

In an interview with cinematographer Roger Deakins on the Team Deakins podcast, Gyllenhaal stated that “there is something Villeneuve and I are working on”. Although it is not yet known what the film project is.
But previously Villeneuve had mentioned that, after completing his duties for the film Dune 2021, he wanted to go back to directing smaller films.
It will be interesting to look forward to the third film in collaboration between the two. This third film is certainly good news for film fans who want to witness Villeneuve’s exciting story and Gyllenhaal’s cameos.

Denis Villeneuve is a director who has directed several hit and popular films. Thanks to his touch, Denis Villeneuve succeeded in bringing the film to life Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 dominated the box office when the film was released. Currently he is also directing the Dune Ramake 2021 film which is filled by a number of famous actors.
Meanwhile, maybe some of you are new to Jake Gyllenhaal. Especially when he played the villain character Mysterio in the film Spider-Man: Far From Home. Of course it is not surprising that this happened. This is because Gyllenhaal often works in relatively small films and only spends a budget that is not as big as the MCU.
