Friendster Appears With a New Look

Nostalgic for a moment about social media that was popular in its time, if you were born in the 90s, of course you are familiar with the word “Friendster”. Friendster itself was one of the most popular social media in the 90s, but as the times changed, its popularity was replaced by other new social media, Facebook for example.

This news is really horrendous, as we all know that Friendster had turned into a social gaming website based in Malaysia, in 2021 Friendster was officially closed. Of course the appearance of Friendster.id has become big news, which makes people wonder if this is really Friendster which was once popular in its time or this is a plagiarism website created by someone or an organization.

After being submerged for over a decade, “Friendster” is now making a comeback on the surface of social media. But Friendster uses an Indonesian domain, namely Friendster.id. If we browse this page, we will be faced with a display that is decorated in blue like Facebook.

Just like other social networks, Friendster.id is also equipped with a menu list of accounts, login, if you already have a Friendster account before, you can log in to your account. On the myspace homepage, there is a sentence that says “Find Your Old Friend”, of course this makes us feel nostalgic when using Friendster first. We can also use Friendster to update status, post photos, videos and share location.

So far no one knows who actually owns this website. If you look at the domain, which is “id”, it could be that the owner of Friendster.id is from Indonesia.
